We desire as a church to make disciples of Jesus Christ in a contemporary, Spirit-filled environment that emphasizes relationship, relevant ministry, spiritual growth, celebration and giving. Relevant ministry to every generation is vital to the life of the body of Christ, and Suncoast Cathedral Ministries strives to provide opportunities for spiritual growth for all ages.
We strive as a fellowship of believers to pursue excellence in our relationship with Jesus Christ individually and as a whole. because of the greatness of the God we serve we pursue excellence in our worship, service and giving. We strive as a body of believers to know God and experience Him in the fullness of His glory by pursuing knowledge and an understanding of His Word, having consecrated lives of obedience, perpetual prayer and worship offered in Spirit and truth.
We believe a body of believers can experience God’s presence and power through a heart-felt pursuance of His Glory.
OUR PASTORS
Tim + Janet Suddreth
Tim and Janet have been pastors at Suncoast for over 27 years.
They have been married for 33 years and have 4 children and one grandson.
They enjoy being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe the scripture is inspired of God (2 Timothy 3:15-17)
We believe the one true God reveals himself as the eternally self-existent ‘I AM” and embodies Himself in the Godhead Trinity – the Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Deuteronomy 6:4 & Matthew 28:19)
We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:15-20)
We believe in the Fall of man (Romans 5:12)
We believe in the Salvation of man through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 10:13 & John 3:16)
We believe in the two ordinances that Christ gave the Church – Holy Communion (1 Corinthians 11:26) and water baptism (Matthew 28:19)
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit for the empowerment of the believer (Acts 1:8 & Acts 2:4)
We believe speaking in tongues is the initial physical evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:4-10)
We believe sanctification is the responsibility of each believer as he or she recognizes they are freed from sin, and their new life in Christ (Romans 12:1-2 & Romans 6:1)
We believe all believers make up the body of Christ which is the church (Ephesians 1:22-23)
We believe the ministry of the church is to evangelize the world (Mark 16:15), worship God (John 4:23-24), and equip and build the body of Christ into the image of the Son (Ephesians 4:11-16)
- We believe divine healing for the sick is provided for through the blood of Chris and it is the privilege of all believers (James 5:15-15)
- We believe the Second Coming of Christ for those who have accepted Him (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
- We believe after the Second Coming of Christ for the believers, He will return with His saints to reign on earth for a thousand years, bringing the salvation of Israel and universal peace (Zechariah 14:5, Ezekiel 37:21-22 & Isaiah 11:6-9)
- We believe there will be a final judgement where those whose names are not written in the Lamb’s book of life shall be consigned to everlasting punishment (Revelation 19:20)
- We believe at the end of all things, there will be new heavens and a new earth in which the righteous will live (Revelation 21 & 22)
